Keep Calm and Call HR

Working in Human Resources often means my skills are transferable from job to job, however, it’s often difficult to get to grips with a company’s culture.
I joined Corona Energy at the end of January and immediately felt welcomed by my colleagues. Moving around, you often hear ‘the people are really friendly here’ but it’s so reassuring when you see it in action day to day.
Joining Corona Energy during a period of expansion meant that I was put to the test and thrown in at the deep end to support the team with our People vision. From running new starter inductions to securing Corona Energy’s visa sponsorship license, I have had a whirlwind six months.
The open plan office also means I’m easily accessible to those who need support or have any questions and luckily for me, I’m able to interact with everyone so no two days are the same.
There’s lots of exciting initiatives in the pipeline for the company and this means I’m able to bring lots of ideas to the table. Additionally, I am able to take charge of my own career and development, which is widely encouraged.
There are so many opportunities for HR to make a positive impact and it’s a warming feeling to know we are engaged with the business.
I can’t wait to see what else is in store for me on my journey here!
