What does the job entail?

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for growing the Corona portfolio and levels of new business through building relationships with direct corporate customers and third party sales agencies and consultants.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and develop strategic relationships with TPI’s to achieve optimum value and growth
  • Keep new business pipeline constantly updated focusing on P&L growth and added value across gas and power and associated products
  • Maintain an excellent standard of organisation and administration through documenting meetings/ providing minutes, sales reporting and feedback gathering.
  • Price, negotiate and submit offers to develop relationships with potential direct customers and consultants; provide actionable feedback to internal departments regarding products and offerings
  • Optimise OJEU frameworks and tenders to win business whilst maximizing the value to Corona
  • Liaise with the Key Account Sales Manager regarding all opportunities and build strategic proposals in line with the growth expectations of the company for both new business and renewals where appropriate whilst following Company Sales Processes
  • Maintain a TPI meeting schedule to extract value and develop key relationships with decision makers.
  • To comprehend and introduce new products and services into the customer base, such as the promotion of Power, AMR and flexible products
  • Manage the successful transfer of all committed contracts through to the first bill.
  • To work in a co-operative manner with all departments and functions within Corona Energy to providing focus on business revenue and efficiency as well as being aware of all key risks
  • Interaction with Macquarie’s Energy Trading desk to keep major and flexible procurement clients updated with market position and movements
  • To actively improve all current processes and provide innovative solutions to clients unique requirements including bespoke reporting and management meetings/ presentations
  • Any other duties as designated by your Manager deemed lawful and responsible

Skills & Experience:

  • A detailed understanding of the UK Gas and Electric SME/Corporate market
  • Proven track record in B2B business development/sales
  • Proven ability hitting set KPIs and targets
  • Experience managing relationships (ideally TPI’s and clients)
  • Excellent people skills with the ability to build relationships both internal and external
  • Ability to attend and present at client meetings, exhibitions and events promoting the Corona brand
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good eye for detail and accuracy
  • Able to cope with multiple priorities and changing environment
  • Able to work on own initiative and part of a team
