What is the Market-wide Half Hourly Settlement (MMHS)?

Market-wide Half-Hourly Settlement (MHHS) is an industry-wide programme led by Ofgem.

It changes the way electricity usage is recorded across the energy market by using actual electricity consumption data every 30 minutes, rather than relying on estimates.

MHHS is designed to support a smarter, more flexible and efficient energy system while helping the UK transition to Net Zero.
