The model helps to lower the cost of capital for nuclear projects, making them more attractive to investors.  

Consumers contribute to the funding of nuclear projects through regulated charges on their energy bills, ensuring long-term energy supply, security, and price stability. The lower cost of financing the project is expected to lead to savings for consumers of at least £30 Billion on each project.
